Planning Compliant Tree Survey, Arboricultural Impact Assessment and Tree Protection Plan

A domestic client required a planning compliant BS5837 Tree Survey for the trees on their property where there is a proposed development.

Client

Domestic home owner in Crewkerne, Somerset

Brief

A planning compliant BS5837 Tree Survey was required for our client's property in Crewkerne, Somerset. The client was granted planning permission on the basis that the trees at the property were protected from construction traffic. The local planning authority for Crewkerne required an Arboricultural Impact Assessment, Method Statement and Tree Protection Plan.

Works

Howe Tree Consultants visited the Crewkerne property and a tree survey was carried out. The data was compiled and presented in a report. The complete report looked into the constraints the trees posed to construction traffic. Consideration was given to overground constraints such as the crown spread, and underground constraints such as the root protection area.

Results

The report and tree protection plan recommended pruning of the branches that limited construction traffic access, installing ground protection within the root protection area of the tree on soft ground, and installation of tree protection barriers.
